SHED Days ( Students for Higher Education Days) are an opportunity for our students to meet with legislators and lobby them regarding important issues facing Tech students. A student contingency from SD Tech attending last year's SHED Days were successful in convincing legislators not to pass a Technology Bill that would have been detrimental to many of the university's programs. Those from Tech who attended were Chuck Cox ( ME, Yankton), Paul Chilson ( MinE, Sisseton), Christy Rebel ( Met, Rapid City), Sarah Rouse ( Met/ Chem, McCook Lake), Dom Miller ( CSC, Norfolk, NE), Nicole Stengle ( EE, Rapid City), Dana Riggenberg ( ME, Aberdeen), and Abe Kean ( CENG, Pierre). ++ 30++ ( I: univrel/ pressrel/ 0200 SHED Days local Belle Fourche) |
