Citizens from a five- state region will discuss options for the reform of Social Security and present their views and recommendations to members of Congress and senior officials of the Social Security Administration. This forum is the first citizen discussion to be scheduled in a rural region of the country in communities of less than 100, 000 population. It is part of a two- year project funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts to engage citizens, regardless of their views, in a national dialogue about the future of Social Security.
