St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: ( January 2, 1998) SDSM& T PROFESSOR PRESENTS PAPER AT NATIONAL COUNCIL OF TEACHERS OF ENGLISH CONVENTION Dr. Michael Day, SDSM& T Associate Professor of English, presented a paper on preparing English classes for work on the Internet during the 87th Annual Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English ( NCTE) held recently in Detroit. As chair of the NCTE Assembly on Computers in English ( ACE), Dr. Day also ran the ACE Software Center, led the ACE Roundtable meeting, and chaired the ACE workshop for forty K- college English teachers at the University of Michigan, Dearborn. The National Council of Teachers of English is a professional organization comprised of more than 90, 000 teachers and supervisors of English at all levels of education.
