St. Joseph Street • Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 • Fax: ( 605) 394- 6177 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ( August 4, 1998) SPEARFISH STUDENT AWARDED 4- YEAR PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP AT SDSM& T Casey Jeffery of Spearfish was recently selected to receive the Everett & Helen Sieger Presidential Scholarship at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T). The scholarship, in the amount of $ 1, 800 for the 1998- 99 academic year, is renewable for three additional years contingent on maintaining a 3.00 cumulative grade point average and continued enrollment at SDSM& T as a full- time student. The Everett & Helen Sieger scholarship was established at SDSM& T by Donal ( 1977 Mechanical Engineering graduate of SDSM& T) and Catherine Sieger in honor of his parents. Casey is a 1998 graduate of Spearfish High School and is the son of Judy Jeffery.
