St. Joseph Street Rapid City, SD 57701- 3995 Phone: ( 605) 394- 6082/ 2554 Fax: ( 605) 394- 3388 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ( April 23, 1997) 30 TECH ALUMNI WILL JOIN THE SDSM& T CONCERT CHOIR AND MASTER CHORALE TO PRESENT THEIR SPRING CONCERT ON SATURDAY, APRIL 26 Thirty Tech alumni from ten states are returning to their alma mater this weekend to join the SDSM& T Concert Choir and Master Chorale in presenting their spring concert. The concert will be Saturday, April 26th, at 8: 00 p. m. in the First Congregational Church, 1200 Clark Street. There is no admission for the concert. A free will offering will be taken with proceeds going to the SDSM& T Music Scholarship Fund. Under the direction of Dr. Susan L. Reid, the concert features Music of the Masters with Franz Haydn's " Te Deum" as its centerpiece. The Concert Choir also will sing three chorales by Johann S. Bach, with Younghae Kim as student conductor and Tawney White Calf providing American sign language. The Master Chorale will perform Dieterich Buxtehude's " Cantate Domino" featuring cellist Tonya Pavek and solists Jim Sautter, Ryan Weaver, and Isaac Conway. The Tech Alumni Choir will sing four numbers under the direction of Dr. James D. Feiszli, former director of choirs at SDSM& T. The Alumni Choir will join the Concert Choir in performing Heinz Lau's double choir " Dona nobis pacem", which will feature student soloists Susan Tangler and Alan Gertonson.
