South Dakota Tech Statement Concerning February 18, 2005
Our first concern is for the well-being of Korey Kirschenmann and his family. We also recognize that this is a difficult time for Valley City State and its basketball program.
The Pennington County State’s Attorney’s Office is handling the investigation.
We trust that the legal system will handle the case properly.
Because of the ongoing legal investigation, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is not in a position to release any further statements, comments, or information concerning the incident at the February 18, 2005, men’s basketball game with Valley City State University.
