Tech Students Seek Treats For Food Bank
In a slight variation on the “Trick or Treat” theme, teams of South Dakota Tech students will spread out across Rapid City on Halloween night to collect items for a food drive.
The students will go door-to-door beginning after 6 p.m. to ask for donations of canned goods and non-perishable food items. Everything collected will be given to the Rapid City Regional Food Bank.
Theta Tau Omega fraternity is sponsoring the event. The fraternity has challenged other student organizations to compete with each other during the drive. Teams will meet at 6 p.m. at the Theta Tau house, 109 Kansas City St., and return at 10 p.m. to determine the winner.
