Bridges To Success Poster Session Today At S.D. Tech
Students participating in the Bridges to Success program at South Dakota Tech will present the results of their research projects during a poster symposium scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 29, in the Surbeck Center McKeel Conference Room.
The research projects include Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Aluminum Alloys, Generating Command Files for a Laser Powder Deposition System, Post Wildfire Hydrology and Polymer Nanocomposites. Students will be available to explain the projects.
This is the second year for the Bridges to Success program, which provides a summer research experience for American Indian students in science and engineering. All the students are midway through their undergraduate degree programs.
The program is funded by the National Science Foundation through Salish Kootenai College and is hosted jointly by Oglala Lakota College and South Dakota Tech.
Tech invites the media to attend.
