Re: “ Discover the Hills” Edition
Following is some revised text for the SDSM& T description in your Discover the Hills edition:
South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City. Enrollment: 2200. Traditions of excellence in science and engineering education since 1885. Accredited by North Central Association for Colleges and Secondary Schools. Academic departments include College of Earth Systems, College of Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Material Sciences and Engineering, and College of Systems Engineering. Programs offered in all major branches of engineering and the physical sciences with degrees offered at the Bachelor, Master, and Ph. D. levels. The College of Interdisciplinary Studies offers technically oriented studies in management, business and writing leading to a baccalaureate degree.
Career planning and placement is a top priority. 80% of SDSM& T engineering and science students have relevant work experience upon graduation. Undergraduate Cooperative Education and Summer Internships are at an all- time high.
