Expanded Wellness Center Benefits Student Bodies
A “wallbreaking” ceremony at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 20, marks the beginning of an important campus project.
The wallbreaking begins renovations of Tech’s Wellness Center in the King Center. The project will expand the Center and add modern exercise equipment, television sets, and a sound system.
Tech students voted to increase student fees to raise the money needed for the project.
“The renovations to the King Center are going to give the students a first-class wellness center which will allow students to work out and stay healthy without having to leave campus and buy a membership to an off-campus wellness center,” student and former Student Association President Matt Goeden, Computer Engineering, Yankton, said
