Women’s History Luncheon March 13
The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology will host a Women’s History Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, March 13, in the Surbeck Student Center Ballroom. The event sponsors, the Society of Women Engineers and Tech’s Student Affairs Division, invites everyone to attend.
Gail Schmidt, of the EROS Data Center, will present a talk about the use of satellite imagery in fire fighting and fire rehabilitation. It’s an important topic because of the large number of catastrophic wild fires in the Black Hills and across the West during the past few years.
The event commemorates National Women’s History Month, being celebrated in March.
An informal buffet with soup and sandwiches will be served. Lunch is free, but donations are appreciated. Please RSVP by calling 394-2336.
