For the past three years, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology has been awarded with the Dakota Athletic Conference Scholars Award.
To honor those accomplishments a banner has been displayed on the east wall of the gymnasium at the south end.
The award is presented annually to the DAC school with the highest percentage of athletes honored as DAC Scholar-Athletes. Fifty-three percent of Hardrocker athletes earned recognition for their academic achievements during the 2006-07 school year.
In order to be honored as a DAC Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or better and have earned twelve or more credit hours for a semester in which he/she participates in a conference sponsored sport.
So please help me honor all the Hardrocker Athletic Scholars for their hard work and effort with a round of applause
