RAPID CITY --- The South Dakota
School of Mines is pleased to
announce the signing of Donovan Brill
as to the Hardrocker football program
for the upcoming 2009 season.
The name Brill is not unfamiliar to the
Hardrocker football team as
Donovan’s older brother Everett has
played at the defensive linebacker
position for the past two seasons.
Donovan will come in on the other
side of the ball as a 5-foot-11-inch,
170 pound wide receiver.
Donovan comes from a very strong
bloodline as his brother Everett also
playing here,” said Hadrocker head
football coach Dan Kratzer. “Donovan
is as tough as they come for an
offensive receiver, and has been timed
in 4.56 in the 40 yard dash.”
Donovan finished his senior season for
the Elko High School Indians with 32
catches for 541 yards and scored five touchdowns. He also has four interceptions to his credit as
defensive back. For his 2008 performance he was named the All County Football Squad and also made
the Northern 4A All Region Honorable Mention list.
“Donovan is one of the strongest blockers pound for pound that you will see in the league,
“ Kratzer said. “We are very excited about having Donovan in our Hardrocker family.
While attending South Dakota School of Mines, Donovan plans to take a major in the engineering field.
