Sleeping in the Dark
The Children’s Science Center will host a Dark Side overnight beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, at the Children’s Science Center.
The Science Center invites parents to drop off their children, ages 6-12, at the Children’s Science Center at 6:30 p.m. Friday night and pick them up again at 8 a.m. Saturday. The theme for the overnight is caves and who lives in them. They will learn who and what likes to live in the dark and if light is ever needed in their lives. The children will have the opportunity to play with all the hands-on activities in the center, learn about science and watch a movie. Pizza from Pizza Hut, snacks and breakfast will be served.
Prices are $25 for members of the Children’s Science Center and $27.50 for non-members. Registration forms can be picked up or dropped off at the Science Center at 515 West Blvd in Rapid City. Registration deadline is at least one week prior to the overnight.
The Children’s Science Center is an outreach service of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
