School’s Never Out At The Children’s Science Center
The learning never stops at the Children’s Science Center, even when schools take the day off.
The Science Center, 515 West Blvd., Rapid City, offers full- day programs on school holidays. The next programs are scheduled from 7: 30 a. m. to 5: 30 p. m. Friday, Oct. 5, and Monday, Oct. 8. The program theme is Black Hills Wildlife, but both days will be different. Tony Willman, of the Intertribal Bison Cooperative, will teach the Oct. 5 program. Ellen Starck, the Centers education coordinator, will teach October. 8.
Children will “ make and take,” participate in outdoor and indoor programs, and watch a movie. The Center will provide snacks, but children should bring their own lunches.
The Science Center welcomes children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The program fee is $ 22 for members and $ 25 for non- members.
The Children’s Science Center is an outreach program of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
