South Dakota School Of Mines & Technology
Holds 144TH Commencement
The following were candidates for degrees from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology during commencement ceremonies held Dec. 15 in Rapid City. Approximately 90 students were candidates for degrees during Tech’s 144th Commencement.
Jack Thompson, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Homestake Mining Company, delivered the commencement address. Karen Carda of Hermosa gave the senior class message. Tech also awarded four Distinguished Alumni awards to Tech graduates who have made important impacts on the world.
