BLANK BLANK, BLANK in the BLANK School District, recently attended the Technology for Teaching and Learning Academy at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
The purpose of the Academy was to instruct K- 12 teachers and technicians from all over the state how to incorporate technology into the classroom. The Academy covered topics such as network creation, server maintenance and repair, network diagramming, software configuration, passwords, e- mail accounts and security, Internet access, firewalls, and a host of other topics.
The sessions consisted of five intensive eight- hour days plus homework. Students learned the basics through more advanced concepts on maintaining computing networks. A total of 45 teachers, technicians, and network administrators participated in one of the three academies on the Tech campus.
