Sleep Under The Stars At The Children’s Science Center
Children ages 6 to 12 can explore the wonders of the universe during an overnight event scheduled for Friday, June 15, at the at the Children’s Science Center in Rapid City.
The Cosmic Cowboy and the Cosmic Cowgirl will use a variety of telescopes to teach youngsters about stars and the universe. Students will observe and identify constellations and other starry attractions, experience the StarLab Planetarium, and participate in other interactive programs. Students also will be able to play with the exhibits in the Children’s Science Center and tour the Dinosaurs of Darkness exhibit.
Science Center staff will serve snacks and show an appropriate movie during the evening. Staff will serve a continental breakfast in the morning.
Registration costs $ 22 per child. Those attending should bring a sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight and pajamas. Enrollment is limited to the first 50 who register. Register by calling 394- 6996 or print a register form at www. hpcnet. org/ csc/ overnight_ programs.
