Children’s Science Center Calendar of Events:
Open Tuesday – Friday, 9 a. m. to 5 p. m., Saturday, 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
Saturday, Nov. 18 “ Parrots as Pets... Are they a good choice?” 11: 15 a. m. to noon. Melissa Horton of Wildlife Experiences, will bring live parrots for a presentation on their abilities and intelligence. Topics covered will include why parrots don't make good pets and how they are adapted for life in the jungle. Free with admission.
Friday, Nov. 24 Closed
Saturday, Nov. 26 Center open extended hours. The Center will be open from 10 a. m. to 6 p. m. to accommodate visitors coming downtown to watch the Parade of Lights.
Saturday, Nov. 26 " The Stars of Fall," 4: 30 p. m. Planetarium show on the stars and stories of the fall sky lasting 30 to 45 minutes. Late arrivals may not be admitted, so please come early. The program is suitable for the general public but not recommended for children age 5 or younger. Free with admission to the Science Center.
