Sunday, Oct. 29 Diwali ( India Festival of Lights) at 5: 30 p. m. in the Surbeck Ballroom. There will also be Indian food and traditional India dances. Sponsored by the India Club.
Tuesday, Oct. 31 Halloween Party, Grubby’s in the Surbeck Center
Saturday, Nov. 4 Tour Tech 2000, 10 a. m. to 2: 30 p. m., Surbeck Center. Prospective students can visit booths from academic departments and student organizations.
Children’s Science Center Calendar of Events:
Open Tuesday – Friday, 9 a. m. to 5 p. m., Saturday, 10 a. m. to 4 p. m.
Saturday, Oct. 28 " The Stars of Fall" 11: 15 a. m. and 1: 15 p. m.
Planetarium show about the stars and stories of the fall sky. Suitable for general audience but not recommended for children five or younger. Free with admission to the Science Center.
Tuesday, Oct. 31 " Fireside Stories and Sidewalk Astronomy" 8 p. m. to 9: 30 p. m.
Friday, Nov. 3 " Sidewalk Astronomy" 6: 30 p. m. to 8 p. m.
Look at the first quarter moon and try to find the planet Uranus.
