Monday, Oct. 16 - Rootbeer Kegger ( 6 pm in front of Dake Hall)
Thursday, Oct. 19 – Something to Do Besides Drink Party ( Grubby’s Gameroom in Surbeck Center, 7- 9 pm)
Saturday, Oct. 21 - Red Ribbon Reception ( for Community Red Ribbon Parade participants) with hot dogs and chips donated from Dining Services and drinks donated from CocaCola. Following the parade.
October 17, 2000 Sigma Xi ( The Scientific Research Society) Black Hills Chapter Dinner/ Speaker Meeting – Speaker will be Dr. Durben, the Coach of Olympic 2000 Shooting Team and Professor of Physics at BHSU. Held at the Cattleman’s Club
( north of I- 90 at exit 48). Dinner and cocktails at 6: 00, speaker at 7: 30.
Dow Chemical Communications Symposium “ Entering the Workplace: Balancing Dreams and Realities” ( 4: 30- 6pm in the Electrical Engineering/ Physics Building, rm. 252)

Children’s Science Center Calendar of Events:
Open Tuesday – Friday 9: 00am – 5: 00pm, Saturday 10: 00am – 4: 00pm
October 14, 2000 “ The Stars of Fall” at 11: 15 am and 1: 15 pm, Planetarium show on the stars and stories of the fall sky, lasting about 30- 45 minutes. Free with admission to the Science center.
October 21, 2000 “ Raptors of South Dakota” by Melissa Horton of Wildlife Experiences. Ms. Horton and her live birds of prey will be at the Center for a presentation on the natural history and life of raptors, as well as the sport of falconry. Program will include a brief slide show. Free with admission to Science center.
