The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology Children’s Science Center, 515 West Blvd., Rapid City, has scheduled the following events. All events are open to the public. Admission is $ 3. Children under age 2 are admitted free. School group admission is $ 2 for each person with one free adult admission for every 10 children. Admission is free for members of the museum or of another museum that belongs to the Association of Science and Technology Centers.
Friday, Nov. 3: Sidewalk Astronomy, 6: 30 p. m. to 8 p. m. Use an 8- inch telescope to look at the first quarter moon and try to find the planet Uranus. This program is weather dependent and will be cancelled in case of inclement weather. Dress for the outdoors. Free.
Saturday, Nov. 4: The Stars of Fall, 11: 15 a. m. and 1: 15 p. m. Planetarium show on the stars and stories of the fall sky lasting about 30- 45 minutes. Late arrivals may not be admitted. The program is suitable for a general audience but not recommended for children five or younger. Free with admission to the Science Center.
Saturday, Nov. 4: Animal Antics, 10: 30 a. m. Live animal program. Free with admission.
