PUBLIC BOOK SIGNING TO TAKE PLACE AT SD TECH MONDAY, JUNE 12
Mr. Mark Meuser, author of Class Encounters, will be on the campus of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Monday, June 12 for a public book signing. Interested Individuals can find Meuser in the Devereaux Library from 6: 00 – 7: 30 pm where you can purchase his book and have it autographed by the author.
In Class Encounters, Mark Meuser shares what he has learned from his students during his 27 year teaching career. Readers can follow his development from a wide- eyed rookie to a seasoned veteran through a series of vignettes about the students who have affected him most deeply. Class Encounters reminds us that the personal encounters between teachers and students are more important than legislative mandates or editorial jibes. Meuser relates the small successes as they really occur – one at a time.
Mark Meuser has taught high school mathematics at Lincoln High School in Gahanna, Ohio for the last 27 years. He spent one year teaching in England through the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program, and has been selected to Who’s Who in American Education and the Dictionary of International Biography.
Meuser will be on the campus of SD Tech participating in the annual Advanced Placement Institute in English and Math Vertical Teams. He is attending as the College Board Consultant for Math Vertical Teams.
