LOCAL SDSM& T STUDENT PARTICIPATES IN INTERCOLLEGIATE
Jason Mann of Huron participated in the Intercollegiate Choral Festival on Tuesday, April 11, 2000. Mann, a senior at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T), is working toward a degree in geology.
The Choral Festival, which has been going on for 12 years, is a one- day clinic for choirs from Chadron College, Black Hawk State University and SDSM& T. Students are given the opportunity to learn new techniques and perfect their singing, both individually and as a choir.
The SDSM& T Master Chorale is a select vocal group dedicated to the study and performance of choral music for small ensembles. The Chorale has gained state, national and international recognition through appearances at the Music Educators National Conference in Anaheim, CA, the Washington DC National Cathedral, and European choral festivals.
