EIGHT STUDENTS INDUCTED INTO ORDER OF OMEGA AT SDSM& T
The Order of Omega at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology recently inducted eight new members into the honorary society. The Order of Omega is a national Greek honorary society founded in 1959 upon the belief that individuals in the Greek community should be recognized for their service to the fraternity system and to the University. The purpose of the Order of Omega is to recognize fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership, to foster continued leadership among its members, and to inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment. Selection to the honorary society is based on application, grade point average, and is limited to the top 3% of the Greek community who are juniors or above.
Those inducted into the Order of Omega including their fraternity or sorority affiliation and hometown include: Aaron Buchholz, Delta Sigma Phi, Philip; Erin Ernst, Alpha Delta Pi, Aberdeen; Rita Krebs, Alpha Omega Epsilon, Rapid City; Benjamin Simpson, Delta Sigma Phi, Buffalo Gap; Eric Skott, Delta Sigma Phi, Aberdeen; Nathan Sorben, Delta Sigma Phi, Wessington Springs; Jaeson Steele, Alpha Chi Sigma, Hastings, MN; and Jennifer Wilson, Alpha Delta Pi, Hastings, MN.
