LOCAL STUDENT RECIPIENT OF SCHOLARSHIP AT SDSM& T
Justine High Elk of Dupree, granddaughter of Wesley and Imogene High Elk and daughter of Raylene High Elk, was recently awarded a scholarship at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology ( SDSM& T). Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kruse, of Minneapolis/ St. Paul, have concurred with the School of Mines scholarship committee’s recommendation to fund a scholarship for High Elk.
Justine High Elk is a sophomore, civil and environmental engineering major at Tech. She is an active member of the Alpha Omega Epsilon Sorority, and of AISES – the American Indian Science and Engineering Society.
The Kruse Foundation selectively works with colleges and universities throughout North America to enhance educational efforts for Native American students.
