ENGINEERS WEEK COLLOQUIUM SPEAKER WILL BE HONORED AT A RECEPTION ON FEBRUARY 22
You are invited to a special reception honoring Engineers Week Colloquium Speaker Dr. Daniel Turner on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 from 5: 00 – 6: 00 pm in the Surbeck Student Center, Bump Lounge. This is your opportunity to visit with the past National President of the American Society of Civil Engineers ( ASCE).
Dr. Turner is a professor and department head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He is also the Director of the University Transportation Center for Alabama. Dr. Turner’s teaching interests include traffic engineering, highway geometric design, computer applications, and design projects.
Dr. Turner will be speaking to two groups of students on Wednesday, February 23 at 9: 30 am and 3: 00 pm in the Surbeck Student Center Ballroom. His talk will be entitled “ The World’s Oldest Civil Engineering Professor.”
