William Holden gave the performance of his lifetime in this classic film. The granddaddy of all POW films, Stalag 17 was directed by Billy Wilder. Also featured in the film are Otto Preminger, Robert Strauss, Peter Graves and Neville Brand. Holden received an Oscar for his role.
Stalag 17 is the sixth in a series of 10 films to be presented at the Elks Theatre. Films will be shown each Sunday evening at 6: 00 p. m. Ticket booklets for the entire series are available at the Elks Theatre and the Devereaux Library at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. Individual admission to movies will be available on a space available basis at the door.
