FRIENDS OF THE DEVEREAUX LIBRARY AND THE ELKS THEATRE PRESENT
SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN
This week’s feature at the Nostalgia Night 2000 Film Series will be Singin’ In The Rain. The film will be shown on Sunday, February 20 at 6: 00 pm at the Elks Theatre. Nostalgia Night film series is presented by The Friends of the Devereaux Library and the Elks Theatre. This week's film is sponsored by Lynn, Jackson, Shultz and Lebrun, PC and Merriill Lynch.
Roger Ebert calls it " the best Hollywood musical ever made." Pauline Kael says " it is probably the most enjoyable of all American movie musicals." And it's here in Rapid City for one show only. Gene Kelly stars in this incomparable film and 19- year old Debbie Reynolds makes her debut as a leading lady. Donald O'Connor, Jean Hagen and Cyd Charisse also star. This monumental film features the music of Arthur Freed and Nacio Herb Brown with such memorable hits as " Make ‘ Em Laugh," " You Were Meant for Me," Beautiful Girl," and, of course, the title song, " Singin' in the Rain."
Singin' in the Rain will be shown at the Elks Theatre at 6 p. m. Sunday. Admission is by session ticket booklet or at the door for $ 4.50.
