SDSM& T ACTIVITIES FOR WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2- 8
SDSM& T activities for the week of November 2- 8, 1998, include the following:
Tues., Nov. 3: United Campus Ministries Forum: “ Internet: Attraction/ Distraction”
Speakers: Ruth Ann Karlen- Yeske, North Middle School Librarian, and Mary Springhetti, Stevens High School Librarian
12: 00 noon - 1: 30 pm, Surbeck AB Room ( Lunch available at 11: 30 am)
Thurs., Nov. 5: Jane Elliott: The Anatomy of Prejudice
Nationally known race relations expert Jane Elliott will present a provocative program based on her “ Blue Eyes, Brown Eyes” exercises to demonstrate prejudice and discrimination.
6: 00 - 9: 00 pm, Surbeck Student Center Ballroom
Admission: Tickets are required and free with Tech ID or $ 3 ($ 2 with canned food donation).
Tickets are available at Surbeck Student Center Front Desk. Tickets guarantee seating only until 5: 45 p. m., when the doors will be opened to non- ticket holders for seating on a first- come, first- served basis.
