SDSM& T PROFESSOR PRESENTS PAPER AT NATIONAL COUNCIL OF TEACHERS OF ENGLISH CONVENTION
Dr. Michael Day, SDSM& T Associate Professor of English, presented a paper on preparing English classes for work on the Internet during the 87th Annual Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English ( NCTE) held recently in Detroit. As chair of the NCTE Assembly on Computers in English ( ACE), Dr. Day also ran the ACE Software Center, led the ACE Roundtable meeting, and chaired the ACE workshop for forty K- college English teachers at the University of Michigan, Dearborn.
The National Council of Teachers of English is a professional organization comprised of more than 90,000 teachers and supervisors of English at all levels of education. NCTE’s aim is to improve the teaching of English and language arts in the nation’s schools and colleges.
