WHAT: A news conference to announce that Rapid City, South Dakota has been chosen by the Pew Charitable Trusts to host a citizens forum and video- teleconference to discuss the future of Social Security as part of a five- state regional citizens forum.

WHY: Americans Discuss Social Security ( ADSS) is a project of the Pew Charitable Trusts to engage citizens nationwide in the decisions that will affect the future of Social Security. ADSS does not take a position on Social Security; rather, its purpose is to re- invigorate public confidence in democracy through a two- year, country- wide discussion on Social Security.
