SCOTTSBLUFF AREA STUDENTS ARE CANDIDATES FOR DEGREES FROM SOUTH DAKOTA SCHOOL OF MINES & TECHNOLOGY
Dustin Harvey of Scottsbluff, Bruce Johnson of Gering, and Travis Wentz of Morrill were candidates for degrees from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology during SDSM& T’s spring commencement ceremony on May 9. They were candidates for B. S. degrees respectively in the following disciplines: Harvey- Civil Engineering; Johnson- Computer Engineering with High Honors ( GPA 3.60- 3.79); and Wentz- Civil Engineering.
The commencement address was given by James E. Despain, Vice President of Caterpillar, Inc.�� s Track- Type Tractors Division. Despain also was presented with an Honorary Doctorate of Aerospace Administration during the ceremony.
